Week 2 Term 4 2020

Dear Parents,  What a wonderful start to the final term we have had! This sunshine has a way of putting everyone in a good mood and the kids have loved getting out mid morning for our morning fitness in this glorious weather and to break up our jam-packed morning of reading, writing and spelling. The children have responded so well to our new InitiaLit Literacy program and I can already see some of the wonderful benefits of this program...including the 'suffix' song which the students have learnt that my ability to hit the high notes in songs is definitely not one of my strengths but the 'bossy e' rap is much more my dorky jam!  Feel free to click on the InitiaLit link in the previous blog for more information about this new literacy program we are trialling before full implementation next year.  New Student - This term we welcome Lexi Dearlove in our class as a new Year 2 student.  Lexi has settled in so well and has become a great addition to the 1/2K team.  Her sist

Week 1 Term 4 2020

 Hello Year 1/2K parents,  Welcome back to another busy term - I absolutely can't believe it is our last term together! I have loved watching our little loves develop and mature as the year has progressed and I am so very proud of  all of  their hard work. I will be sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the year for sure!   I hope you all had a lovely holiday and got to enjoy some of those beautiful days in the sun! Just a few things for this term...     INITIAL LIT PROGRAM   This term we are trialing a new whole class initial instruction in Literacy program called Initial Lit.  This program requires strict time tabling and therefore we will be swapping our daily fitness to a mid-morning break and starting our explic i t teaching session at 8:50am. Unfortunat ely, this means that we will not be able to chat with you after the 8:40am bell in preparation for this first mat session. If you have anything you need to tell us, please email us.    If your child is late, please sign the
